Our honest take

This part is our opinion, based on the facts above. The right choice depends on your business.

Constant Contact may suit you better if…

  • You already use a real estate CRM such as Follow Up Boss, Lofty or Wise Agent, and want email that connects to it.
  • You want to send text messages as well as email.
  • You want unlimited users, which Constant Contact’s Premium plan includes.

OneHive Mail may suit you better if…

  • You want every feature on every plan; segments and automations aren’t limited by tier.
  • You want bounced contacts to stop counting straight away, and your plan to follow your current active contacts rather than your highest count.
  • You want ready-made designs written for listings, open houses, market updates and client care.
  • You’re in Canada and want consent records that follow CASL’s categories.

Switching

Moving from Constant Contact to OneHive Mail

  1. Export your contacts from Constant Contact to a CSV file.
  2. Leave out unsubscribed and bounced contacts. Importing into OneHive Mail means confirming that everyone in the file agreed to hear from you, so they shouldn’t be in it. Keep your export of them for your records.
  3. Import the file under Contacts → Import. Match the columns, including tags, and record how your contacts agreed to hear from you.
  4. Add your branding once, then rebuild your main segments and any automations.
  5. Pick a design for your first campaign, send yourself a test, and send.
