The best email marketing for real estate agents combines ready-made listing and newsletter designs, contact management that understands buyers and sellers, and built-in anti-spam compliance. OneHive Mail and IXACT Contact pair email with a real estate CRM. Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Flodesk, MailerLite and Cyberimpact are general platforms many agents use.
OneHive Mail is our product. Everything we say about the other platforms comes from their own websites, checked on October 22, 2026, with links at the end. Some show prices in the currency of the visitor’s location, so confirm prices with each company before you buy.
What agents need from email software
An agent’s email isn’t the same as a shop’s. You’re announcing listings to the right buyers, keeping your sphere warm for years between moves and following up on the people who show interest. That makes a few things matter more than usual:
- Real estate designs for Just Listed, Open House, Just Sold, market updates and newsletters, so a listing email takes minutes rather than an evening.
- Contacts that fit real estate: buyers, sellers, past clients and referral partners, with the areas and price ranges they care about.
- Segments, so the condo listing goes to condo buyers rather than everyone.
- Follow-up: seeing who opened and clicked, and acting on it.
- Compliance: consent records, your business details and an unsubscribe link in every email, under Canada’s CASL and the US CAN-SPAM Act. Our article on email compliance for agents explains both laws.
- A fair price for a one-person business, in a currency you’re happy to pay in.

Email marketing or a CRM?
Some agents use a lead-focused real estate CRM, such as Follow Up Boss, Lofty or BoldTrail, and send email from it. Those platforms are built for speed to lead, calling and texting, and they suit teams working a lot of online leads. Others use a general email platform for newsletters and keep contacts somewhere else.
The cost of the second approach is the gap between the two: importing and exporting, unsubscribes that don’t carry across and clicks that never reach the person who should call. If most of your business comes from your sphere and past clients, one tool that does both email marketing and simple relationship management is usually enough. Our roundup of the best CRMs for realtors in Canada compares the CRM side, and the comparisons with Follow Up Boss, Lofty and kvCORE go into detail.
How to choose
- Pick three emails you send most, such as a listing announcement, a monthly newsletter and an open house invitation, and see how fast each platform gets you there.
- Check what counts toward the price: contacts or sends, and whether unsubscribed contacts are included.
- Look at the compliance tools: somewhere to record consent, an automatic footer with your mailing address and an unsubscribe link that works straight away.
- Check the currency. Agents in Canada paying in US dollars carry exchange-rate risk every month.
- Decide whether you need a CRM in the same tool, or already have one you like.
- Use the free trial with a sample of your real contacts, and send yourself a test.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best email marketing platform for realtors?
It depends on what else you need. If you want email marketing and a simple CRM in one, a real estate platform such as OneHive Mail or IXACT Contact saves you running two tools. If you only send an occasional newsletter to a small list, a general platform with a free plan, such as Mailchimp or MailerLite, may be enough.
Is there free email marketing software for real estate agents?
Mailchimp, MailerLite and Cyberimpact have free plans for up to 250 contacts, with limits on sending and features. Real estate platforms with a built-in CRM, including OneHive Mail, are paid but offer free trials.
How much does real estate email marketing software cost?
Published starting prices for the platforms here range from free for very small lists to about $25 to $55 a month for a real estate platform with a CRM, before tax. Prices rise with the number of contacts.
Can I use Mailchimp for real estate?
Yes, many agents do. It’s a general platform, so you’ll build listing emails from general templates and manage buyers and sellers with tags and segments. We didn’t find real estate templates or a sales pipeline on its site.
What emails should a real estate agent send?
The core set is listing announcements, open house invitations, Just Sold emails, a monthly newsletter or market update, and client care such as home anniversaries. Browse ready-made designs for each in our real estate email templates.
Do these platforms work for agents in Canada?
All of them can send to Canadian contacts, but CASL applies to you as the sender. Look for consent records and automatic unsubscribe handling. OneHive Mail and Cyberimpact publish Canadian-dollar prices; Mailchimp and Constant Contact show Canadian-dollar prices to Canadian visitors.
